Payment & Fees
How can you pay for your relayed transactions?
Gelato 1Balance is a new flexible and bespoke payment system built from the ground up exclusively for Gelato customers. Gelato 1Balance allows for customers to deposit on any chain they prefer, whilst using that balance to cover their relay costs regardless of target chain.
Testnet: Deposit gETH on Goerli to cover transactions across Mumbai, Optimism Goerli, Arbitrum Goerli and Alfajores.
Production: Gelato 1Balance (public beta coming soon™) aims to support Ethereum Mainnet, Polygon, Fantom, Avalanche, BNB, Optimism, Arbitrum, Gnosis, Moonbeam, Moonriver and all associated testnets.
Gelato 1Balance will support depositing USDC on Polygon to cover all transactions on production networks.
SyncFee is the simplest way to pay, but it delegates all security (reentrancy/replay protection etc.) and payment logic to the
target
smart contract using ERC-2771 authentication. Relay costs are covered in either native or ERC-20 tokens and they are paid synchronously during the relay call.Gelato charges a fee as a percentage of total gas cost for the relayed transaction. This varies across networks - we charge higher premiums on cheaper networks and vice versa.
Table 1 - Fee premiums as a percentage of total gas cost per network. The same premium applies to respective network testnets.
Network | Percentage Premium (%) |
---|---|
Ethereum | 20 |
Polygon | 70 |
BNB | 30 |
Avalanche | 40 |
Fantom | 50 |
Arbitrum | 50 |
Optimism | 50 |
Moonbeam | 70 |
Moonriver | 70 |
Gnosis | 100 |
Celo | 100 |
